Refund & Cancellation

Effective date: April 26, 2026

1. Free trial

New accounts get a 7-day free trial of the chosen plan. You will not be charged if you cancel before the trial ends. If you allow the trial to roll into a paid subscription, the first invoice is generated on day 8 and is non-refundable per the rules below.

2. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from the dashboard (Settings → Billing → Manage subscription) or by emailing hello@theconsultant.chat.

Access continues until the end of the current billing cycle. Your AI secretary keeps replying, your knowledge base stays intact, and your WhatsApp connection remains active until that date — there is no grace-period cliff.

3. Refunds

No refunds for partial billing periods. Because the service is consumed continuously (your AI processes messages 24/7 and uses paid LLM provider credits in real time), we do not pro-rate refunds for the unused portion of a month or year.

We may issue a discretionary refund in the following limited cases:

Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the disputed charge to hello@theconsultant.chat with your account email and the invoice number.

4. Refund processing time

Approved refunds are issued back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. The credited amount may take 1–2 additional billing cycles to appear on your card or bank statement depending on your issuer.

5. Add-ons & one-time charges

VM performance tier upgrades, custom integration fees, and any one-time setup charges follow the same no-pro-rate refund rule unless explicitly stated otherwise on the invoice.

6. Chargebacks

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback — we can almost always resolve billing disputes faster than your card issuer can. Chargebacks filed without first contacting support may result in immediate account suspension while the dispute is investigated.
